Extended Family Sessions

Hi guys! Today I wanted to talk to you about extended family sessions. I get asked all the time if that’s possible and my answer is always, “Of course!” Extended family to me means parents, grandparents, siblings, kids and grand babies. Or something similar. This session I’m going to share is of my sweet friend Kelly. I absolutely love photographing my friends and it’s always an honor when they ask! We had her and her two sisters, her parents, her nieces and brother-in-law. Another question I get is do they cost extra. That answer is usually yes, the price depends on exactly how many people we are adding. I had a session  last year with 7 adults and 4 kids. That sessions was a lot of work both during the session and afterwards editing. It was also a ton of fun chasing after 4 kiddos under 2.

For these sessions I always do a mix to make sure we get tons of variety. We’ll do some of just the original crew: mom, dad, and their kids. Then we’ll add in the grand babies. Next all the in-laws. Then some of just all the cousins. Or just all the siblings. And so on and so forth! I love these sessions because the possibilities are endless. It’s also such a treat to have the whole family together getting pictures that don’t involve the self timer or one person being left out because they are taking it.  It makes me happy to give that present to you guys.

Enjoy a look into Kelly’s sessions and make it a great day!
